Comprehensive Routine Eye Examinations

Our comprehensive eye examinations include a vision and health assessment of your eyes designed to identify changes in vision and signs of possible eye diseases. As vision is one of the most important of the 5 senses, a routine eye examination should be undertaken on an annual basis. Our experienced Optometrists are trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions.

A comprehensive eye examination includes but is not limited to the following:

  • A case history to discuss any visual requirements or any problems you are experiencing

  • Assessment of your clarity of vision

  • Testing to determine if spectacle lenses are required for reading, computer use or distance

  • Eye muscle control testing to determine your eyes are working together

  • A Colour Vision assessment

  • Eye health looking for signs of cataract, glaucoma or macular degeneration

  • Visual signs of diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes

At the conclusion of the examination, our Optometrist will carefully explain the results of your eye test and discuss recommendations regarding any preventive or remedial care required.

Children’s Eye Examinations

The vision of children and young adults is pivotal and closely related to their ongoing learning, growth and development. With a high proportion of learning undertaken through the sense of vision, it is vital to diagnose any vision issues early, so learning is not impacted.

Our Optometrists have a special way with Children and understand how to make them feel comfortable while having an eye test. Our comprehensive children’s eye test will identify any vision problems and our Optometrist can work with parents to implement any preventative or remedial care required.

Vision Therapy

Vision therapy is designed to directly stimulate the visual information processing skills of a child. It follows a hierarchy of teaching the child body knowledge and awareness through movement activities and then expands the thinking to higher levels. Vision therapy training is highly geared to stimulate visual thinking. Our Optometrists can also provide advice on Vision Therapy Programs and Educational Computer Software.
