Established in 2000, Ballajura Optometrist is a family owned optometry practice providing personalised eye care services to individuals, families and businesses in Ballajura and its surrounding suburbs.

Practice owner and primary Optometrist Barry Tucker has over 30 years experience in eye care. Using his knowledge and expertise, Barry believes in providing top quality service to each of his patients.

Barry Tucker | Registered Optometrist
Barry qualified in 1981, and has 35 years of experience providing eye care services to patients of all ages. As the principal Optometrist, Barry provides an extensive range of eye care services including comprehensive eye testing for adults and children, spectacle frame and lens dispensing, contact lens fitting and supply, visual information processing assessments, vision therapy programs and management of eye conditions and diseases. Barry provides a personalised service to all patients and can assist on the simplest and most complex eye and vision questions.
Lisa | Optical Dispenser
Lisa is a qualified optical dispenser having completed her Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing in 1999. Lisa has been in the optical industry for 23 years, the last 3 of those here at Ballajura Optometrists. Lisa has extensive experience in frame selection and making sure spectacle frames fit correctly based on your facial dimensions, prescription lens selection and spectacle adjustments and repairs. Lisa can assist with processing all Medicare, Health Fund, Veterans Affairs and Spectacle Subsidy Claims and prides herself on providing customer service with a smile.
Belinda | Reception & Customer Service
For many years, Belinda has been the face of the Ballajura Optometrists front reception. No matter what your query is, Belinda can assist. As a hobby artist and with a keen interest in interior design, Belinda has a way with colours. Using her artistic and design skills, she has a special touch in assisting patients selecting spectacle frames.

Annual Eye Tests are Important to Ensure Healthy Vision

Get a comprehensive Eye Test by one of our highly experienced Optometrists. With the cost of the Eye Test covered by Medicare, there is no reason why you should not have a checkup every 12 months. As part of the Eye Test, our Optometrist will undertake a comprehensive vision and health assessment of your eyes designed to identify changes in vision and possible signs of eye diseases.
​​If you require spectacles or contact lenses, we have an extensive range of frames and lenses from a variety of brands. We have economical and premium options to suit all budgets.
Ballajura Optometrists is a registered ancillary provider. If you have Private Health Insurance, we can submit your claim on the day using Hi Caps. Did we mention, we also have an extensive range of spectacle frames and lenses with NO OUT OF POCKET GAP!
